Sharp Matter ("we", "us") is a sole proprietorship based in Amsterdam, the Netherlands, operated by Sophie Gaffré. This notice explains how we handle personal information submitted through this website.

What we collect
- Information you provide via the enquiry or Sharp Take forms: name, work email, company, role and the message or brief you send.
- Information you send directly by email to hello@sharp-matter.com.
- Limited technical metadata (such as browser user-agent) used for abuse prevention and rate-limiting.
- Aggregate, privacy-conscious analytics (page views, country, referrer, device class) via Plausible Analytics. No cross-site tracking and no advertising profiles.
Why we use it
- To reply to your enquiry and to evaluate whether the work is a good fit (legitimate interest, Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
- To prevent abuse of the website and forms (legitimate interest).
- To understand at an aggregate level how the site is used (legitimate interest).
Where it is stored
Enquiry submissions are stored in a managed database used solely to operate this website and respond to your enquiry. Processors (such as the hosting, database and analytics providers) act on our instructions under appropriate data-processing terms. Your data is not sold, and is not shared with third parties for marketing.
How long we keep it
Enquiry messages are kept for as long as is reasonably needed to respond to and follow up on the conversation, and then deleted. You can ask us to delete your data at any time.
Your rights
You have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to processing of your personal data, and the right to data portability. Email hello@sharp-matter.com and we will respond within a reasonable timeframe. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens).
Cookies
The website does not set advertising or tracking cookies. Functional storage is limited to what is strictly necessary to make the site work.
